HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We (my boyfriend, our puppy, Frankenstein & new love, Sadie (SPCA rescue!) have decided to spend New Years @ home (well, at my moms house in Kelowna) We drive back to Vancouver tomo morning! Stoked to be seaside!



We rolled our truck just outside of Kelowna about a week ago, so we spent x-mas day in Emergency :( all of our pets are okay! Once were back in Vancouver, I'll be hunting for a Jeep - I really want either a Sahara or TJ - puuurfect for Surf Trips to Tofino!

I'm still pretty sore so my plan tonite is to use a whole, yes whole! Lush Bubble Bar (Candy Cane) & have a relaxing night in the tub. Hope everyone had a great holiday...back to work next weeeeeek!

OMG! MAC'S WONDER WOMAN COLLECTION PHOTOS!!

SO EXCITED! I wasn't sure that it would be limited edition packaging, but it isssss! Hopefully the brush sets are of MAC quality & not the cheap scratchy LE brush sets that come out a couple of times a year, I hate those! Even if the quality is horrible, I will probably buy the set - just for the gold bag! <3

IT SNOWED IN VANCOUVER! for one day it was beautiful! then, it rained..and were back with our usual spring weather...I have pics to prove it!

I have been working like CRAZY - still have a week left until my holidays begin but I found some time for updates! yay! I'm on Vancouver Island right now, my boyfriend & I are getting tattoos @ Bully Boy - check them out, seriously the best tattoo artist (Jory Helmes) & fully worth the 5.30 am wake up on my one day off and 1.5 hour ferry ride :) I'll post pics of what we get soon, just waiting for them to heal. bad.ass.

I've been buying a lot of make-up (like usual) but I have an excuse - I was able to make a few purchases from the Sephora Friends & Family Sale where I picked up a Clarisonic (FINALLY) well worth the money, my skin is so soft! I also managed to get a $20 gift card and another 10% off so you know, I went kinda crazy...the only products that I'm loving are the NARS Galapogos single eye shadow, and the Urban Decay liquid eyeliner in oil slick.

I picked up the Philosophy Cleanser & Clinique Oil free gel, but I haven't decided if I like them or not..I'll have to use them for another couple of weeks.

The MAC xmas collection was amazing! I have no idea how I ever lived without pearl glide eyeliners before - I only bought the navy blue & brown one, but I'm smitten with both! Both of the blushes (her blooming cheek & highland honey) are pretty stellar as well..I don't even remember what all I bought, I know I got the gray single eyeshadow (castle something) and a coral that I'm going to be stoked on in the summer..there was so much, I totally forget :) OH the pink mineralize kit is great, it's definatly one of my favs & gave me a chance to try out MAC's new mascara (that has replaced Benefits Bad gal) OH AND THE PIGMENT SETS <3 ahhh!

I also decided to try the MAC matte cream - it works! I have the oiliest skin of life & I heard good things about this product, my skin still gets oily around 2 PM but nothing like it would if I wasn't using this product.

Katy Perry vs. OPI

I'M SO EXCIIIITED! Katy Perry has teamed up with OPI (my favourite nail polish brand) and is coming out with limited edition nail polishes! I'm planning on picking up: Teenage Dream (PINK GLITTER!), Not Like The Movies, Last friday night (BLUE GLITTER!) & Black Shatter - it's a top coat that gives your nails a cracked/leopard pattern. I've been obsessed with matte nail polish lately, so Black Shatter seems like a nice change :)

MAC A Tartan Tale Teddy bear!

I just saw on temptalia that there is going to be a MAC TEDDY BEAR & a MAC teddy bear keychain! soooo smitten kitten with this collection (I'm 1/2 irish, 1/2 scottish, how could I not be?!) I wish the bears tummy didn't have that writing on it, but what can you do? I'm also torn between the lipglasses - the last thing I need is most lipglass/gloss/gelle, but the tin is pretty rad and a perfect holder for my pens...so maybe the pink set? the bronze would be nice for summer...decisions! I'm not into the brush sets, mainly because they are synthetic (i think) which = shitty quality - IMO. There's also a few mineralize kits that look amazing and you know the eyeshadows as well...looks like my xmas/bday list is full of MAC, Tiffanys & Chan Luu bracelets!

Also, I'm picking up RUFUS WAINWRIGHT tickets tomorrow!!!!! I LOVE HIM!!!!!

AND! I'm getting an ombre drew barrymore inspired dye job on saturday...I'm bored with pretty much every style so I hope this works out & the stylist is able to dye my ends, right now they are a level 2...EEEEE SO EXCITED!!

MAC Cham-pale 2011!

As a fairly pale lady (NW 20) and by january I'm sure to be NW 15...I'm stoked for this collection! New paint pots, Lipgelees, Lipsticks, an amazing sounding eyeshadow quad AND the Chromagraphic pencils that I missed out on earlier this year. The Fix+ in lavender sounds pretty rad too...OH! there's also a new highlight powder that looks like tissue paper!

MAC Venomous Villains PART 2!

So last night I decided that I needed the other 2 lipsticks that I passed on @ the launch party (Sinister & Dark Deed)...I was 100% sure that everything would be sold out - EVERYTHING WAS STILL THERE! well, except for Toxic Tale & a couple of the nail polishes. So I picked up the beauty powder in Oh So Fair, Dark Deed & Sinister Lipstick.

If you live in or around Vancouver, goto Metrotown, they have most everything!

I've been playing around with everything for over a week now and feel that the must haves are:

I bought Melon pigment in the summer and I fell in love with it! I'm an NW20-NW25 with a tan and its soooo pretty as a highlight! (I've been using Vanilla Pigment as a highlight now since my 'tan' faded.)

Also, if you were able to pick up Cunning Lipstick from the felines collection, I think it looks really nice under wrong spell lipglass. yes!

Even though the packaging sucks, everyone should give these colors a try, super unique and pretty!

I really wish the had included Ursula instead of Dr.Facilier...he doesn't fit in with this collection....I LOVE THE LITTLE MERMAID!

I went a little bit crazy! kinda...I'm going back to MAC this evening to check out 2 other lipsticks that I passed up on @ the launch party here in Vancouver. I LOVE disney but truthfully, I was expecting a lot more out of the packaging. I was hoping for something a little more Anna Sui-esq, gothic, dark and gorgeous...but I couldn't pass up on these colors (especially toxic tale!) here's what I hauled!
